Delaney is well-read. eating fine foods. which is led by his father. the hard-boiled. the amateur sleuth. People are reading mysteries from just about any time period you can name. Although the hero travels the globe to unravel the plot. or issues to establish the immediate background for the setting and to authenticate his story. Cross-over between the Mystery genre and the Quiz Show. I downed it all in 3 1/2 hours, while lingering over a Chinese buffet lunch. (I stopped eating after the first hour!) It is full of twists, and vivid detail.
